Easy Way to Find Llamas in Fortnite

Overview

The Supply Llama is an Animal in Fortnite: Battle Royale, introduced in Season 3. On introduction, it was a type of Container, but it was updated to an Animal in Chapter 2: Season 7.

Behaviour

Supply Llamas spawn at random locations across the map.

When a player gets close to a Llama, it will be alerted and flee. As the Llama flees, it will drop Ammunition and Shield Potions. After a while, the Llama will begin glowing. It will then rise into the air and disappear in a bright beam of light. However, if the Llama is eliminated before the time runs out, it will drop a notable amount of loot.

When Supply Llamas receive ~200 damage, fall from a great height, or are hit by a Vehicle, Saucer's laser cannon, Rail Gun, or the Plasma Cannon, they become stunned for a short time.

Loot

When eliminated, Supply Llamas drop a variety of Healing Items, Ammo, Materials. Whilst fleeing, they will drop multiple stacks of Ammo and Shield Potions.

Strategy Guide

The risk was calculated... but man am I bad at math.

This section outlines a strategy. Feel free to add tips, tricks and general advice about the topic.

  • Crouch towards a Supply Llama, or stun it by dealing damage, and build four walls around it. This prevents it from running away, making it easier to eliminate the Supply Llama before time runs out.
  • Supply Llamas can receive damage from fire, so it is possible to box them in with a Stone or Metal structure, and use Firefly Jars to damage them.

During Season 4 after the Blast Off event, some llamas were rifted to real life.

  • London, England
  • Barcelona, Spain
  • Cologne, Germany
  • Warsaw, Poland
  • France, Cannes

Those llamas were most likely recaptured by the Agents that were investigating the Durr Burger in the desert.
